Quality 50+ UV Zippy Girls Rashguard - When it comes to women's rashgauards, girl's rashguards or any rashgards for that matter it all comes down to how well your rashguard protects you. You want a rash guard that guards you in at least two ways: from getting a rash (duh!) from your surfboard's surface and from the sun. All our Havaa rash guards are UPF rated and qualify for the UPF 50+ rating (not just UPF 50 like the competition). UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor, similar to SPF for sunscreen lotion. So a rashguard with UPF 50 only allows 1/50th of the UV radiation through the fabric. Apart from that, a darker color rashgaurd gives a better UPF rating! It's also important not to order your women's rashguard too small. You may think your curves are exposed better, but as the fabric stretches so is your skin as UPF goes down.
